Fashionavenue.ma — Web project Morocco
E-commerce Fashion PrestaShop

Fashionavenue.ma

Fashion e-commerce site on PrestaShop, optimized for managing a large product catalog in Morocco. A focus on loading performance and SEO for online fashion.

Challenge

Fashionavenue.ma operates in Moroccan online fashion, an ultra-competitive sector marked by international giants (Shein, Zara, H&M) and several local players. The challenge: build an e-commerce site able to manage a large catalog rich in variations (sizes, colors, materials) and absorb massive traffic spikes at each collection launch or promotional event without degrading user experience.

Additional stakes are numerous: consistent product photos, powerful search filters to keep buyers engaged, multi-warehouse stock management, local CMI and international payment, reliable national delivery, and offensive SEO on highly contested fashion queries like 'women's dress Morocco' or 'men's sneakers Casablanca'. All in a mobile-first experience, over 75% of traffic coming from smartphones.

Solution

I deployed a heavily customized PrestaShop store with a theme designed for speed and conversion: airy product pages, intuitive variation selector, smart cross-sell recommendations. Performance rests on a full-page cache architecture (Varnish), SQL queries optimized with composite indexes, and a CDN for static assets.

Faceted search filters let users navigate thousands of references without page reload (AJAX), with dynamic sorting by price, popularity, and newness. I integrated CMI payment, cash on delivery (a must in Morocco), and multi-carrier management (Amana, CTM Express). SEO includes Product structured data with variants, sitemaps split by category, tag optimization, and a fashion blog to capture informational queries. GA4 e-commerce analytics trace the full funnel to drive optimizations.

Results

The site delivers a smooth shopping experience even with thousands of active products, with load times kept under 2 seconds during peak hours. This performance translated into a 35% sales increase and a 20% rise in average order value, driven by smart recommendations and cross-sell.

Traffic spikes during new collection launches and sales are absorbed without degradation, validating the caching architecture. SEO generates continuously growing organic traffic on Moroccan fashion keywords, reducing dependence on paid campaigns. Marketing ROI improved significantly.
