MILA House of Roses – USA

US version of the Moroccan luxury brand of preserved roses: decorative boxes made of real stabilized roses, perfect for luxury gifts, weddings or interior decor.

Challenge

Extend the world of MILA Maison des Roses, a Moroccan luxury preserved-rose brand, into the US market — one of the most demanding globally when it comes to luxury, packaging and purchase experience. The challenge went well beyond translation: I had to rebuild a store designed around US codes, taxation and logistics while preserving the premium visual signature that defines the parent brand.

In practice that meant a tailored product line for US demand (boxes, sizes, finishes), a transatlantic logistics chain with express shipping, state-by-state tax handling, USD payments, and SEO positioning on competitive queries such as "eternal roses USA", "luxury preserved roses" and "rose box gift New York" — without diluting the artisanal, refined feel of the parent brand.

Solution

I deployed the US version on PrestaShop starting from the international codebase, with targeted rebuilds on the critical pieces. On the front-end, I crafted a clean interface showcasing large-format product photography, signature boxes and use cases (luxury gifting, weddings, interior decor) through storytelling product pages optimised for conversion.

Integrated US-specific e-commerce modules: USD pricing, automatic state tax calculation, express carriers (FedEx, UPS) with real-time delivery estimates, Stripe and Apple Pay payment gateways. The checkout flow was rebuilt around US UX expectations (one-page checkout, guest checkout, transactional email tracking).

SEO was rebuilt around high-intent US queries, with themed landing pages (Valentine's Day, anniversaries, corporate gifting), structured product schema and an editorial blog feeding the long tail. The high-end visual identity was preserved pixel-perfect.

Results

A fully operational US store that lets MILA reach American customers directly with full control over margin, lead times and customer experience. The optimised checkout drives conversions especially at seasonal peaks (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, year-end) where luxury gifting performs best.

SEO positioning on "eternal roses USA" and "luxury flower box US" is steadily rising, complemented by direct traffic from the parent brand's notoriety. MILA's international footprint is consolidated, paving the way for further launches on premium markets (Europe, Gulf). Margins and quality control are preserved through direct ownership of the channel.
